The Spring Valley Volunteer Fire Department is currently accepting applications for additional volunteers.  In addition to interested adults, the SVFD sponsors a Junior Rookie program which allows high school juniors and seniors to learn about the Fire Service. Junior rookies attend training sessions, work nights and assist at fire scenes helping with non-fire fighting duties such as hitting the hydrant, handling equipment, and ventilation. Memberships for Jr. Rookies and adults are available.
